Dr. Sydney Smith grew up in the suburbs of Atlanta, Georgia, where she spent much of her childhood playing soccer and staying active. Her love for working with children and helping others eventually led her to a career in pediatric dentistry. She earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the Dental College of Georgia at Augusta University before completing her pediatric dentistry residency at LSU Health in New Orleans. After completing her residency, Dr. Sydney underwent rigorous examinations to earn her board certification in Pediatric Dentistry in 2025.

Dr. Sydney is passionate about pediatric dentistry and believes that every child deserves to have a positive, comfortable, and enjoyable experience at the dentist. She strives to create a welcoming environment where children feel safe, build confidence, and develop healthy habits that will last a lifetime.

Outside of dentistry, Dr. Sydney enjoys spending time outdoors, cooking, reading, and traveling with her husband. She is excited to join the DKPD team and looks forward to providing exceptional, compassionate dental care to children and families throughout the surrounding communities.
